Acclaimed R&B Artist and Producer Premieres “No Pressure” Music Video
Feb. 11, 2019 (Richmond, VA): Called a “modern twist on classic R&B,” acclaimed artist and producer Jerel Crockett premiered the music video for his single, “No Pressure,” on December 11th, 2018; the song blends modern energy with old-school funk, with vocals paralleling those of Maxwell and John Legend
“The video shoot for no pressure was one of the most exciting moments in my career thus far,” says Jerel. “I was fortunate to work with a very talented cast and crew. The theme of the video is classy, elegant but
also has many artistic visuals throughout the video that make it stand out from other videos of the genre.”
Jerel cites classics like Maxwell and Ryan Leslie as influences, as well as contemporaries like Usher and Neyo. In terms of his vision for the single, he describes “No Pressure” as “a classic, feel good R&B record that’s fun and that people can move to.”
After spending years as a producer for acts like Ledisi, Kenny Lattimore, LoLa Monroe (of “The Platinum Life” on E!), Columbus Short (of ABC’s “Scandal”), Rayven Justice, and more, Jerel Crockett began his solo music career just over a year ago.
In addition to receiving award nominations for his production work, Jerel was hand-selected to open for Atlantic Records R&B star TANK’s Savage Tour where he played to the sold-out Historic Howard Theater. In addition, Jerel was invited to perform solo at the 2017 Southern Women’s Show and an opening slot for Mint Condition, which is how his performance caught TANK’s eye in the first place.
In Jerel’s words, “This opportunity instantly made me revisit my solo aspirations and get back into the studio and start recording music of my own.”
Crockett’s debut single, “No Pressure,” premiered on October 31st, 2018 on 99.3/105.7 KISS FM and has been a hit sensation with KISS listeners.
